2011 Annual Meeting Highlights
The 73rd LYREA annual meeting was held at the Event Center at the Richland County Fairgrounds on June 1, 2011. Lester Larson representing District 5, Greg Rauschendorfer representing District 6 and Allen Thiessen representing District 7 ran unopposed and were unanimously elected to another three-year term. Congratulations to Lester, Greg and Allen.
Guest speakers were Travis Kavulla, Chairman of the Public Service Commission and Gary Wiens, Assistant General Manager of Montana Electric Cooperatives' Association.
The most exciting part of the evening was the drawings held for the "Luck-of-the-Draw" Scholarships. This year there were 10 scholarships to be awarded. The winners needed to be present with their parent/guardian who is a LYREA member. The lucky winners of the $1000.00 scholarships were:
Devin Bell, Matt Brenner, Michael Steppler, Brennan Gorder, Mike Miller, Josh Nollmeyer, Sam Sainju, Shelby Sharp, Kendra Iversen and Katelyn Dynneson. Congratulations to each of them!
If you did not make it to this years meeting, we hope to see you June 6, 2012. The 2012 meeting will be held at the Event Center at the Richland County Fairgrounds!
